A sector is a fraction of the area of a circle. It is a “slice of the pie.” To find the area of a sector, you can set up a proportion of sector area/entire area to central angle/360.
Example: What is the length of arc ST if the radius of the circle is 3? Remember area is π r2 , so the area of the circle is 9/8π.
